SikaFlex-221 - Bonding and sealing compound - Sika

Sikaflex-221 is a one-component polyurethane sealant that polymerizes under the action of atmospheric humidity to form a durable elastomer.
Its performance of Sikaflex-221 has been validated for many years on in-service applications.

Application areas

The Sikaflex-221 has great adhesion power on many supports such as wood, metals, primers and paints (two-component), ceramics and plastics, for the realization of durable elastic seals.

Application

1. The Sikaflex-221 must be placed on dry surfaces free of grease and dust.
2. Sikaflex-221 must be applied at a temperature between + 5°C and + 40°C.
   Optimum application temperature: +15°C to +25°C.
3. The Sikaflex-221 is implemented by means of any single-component product application system: manual or pneumatic guns (marketed by Sika) or pumping unit (for advice on pumping equipment consult your Sika technician) .
4. The smoothing of the joints must be carried out before the product has formed its skin.
