Paracol Wood D3 - White polyvinyl acetate wood adhesive - DL Chemicals

White polyvinyl acetate -based wood glue with excellent adhesion. The glue dries transparent. Recommended for bonding wooden constructions such as window frames and exterior doors, mortise and tenon joints, and dovetail joints.

Applications:

• Suitable for most common wood types and is particularly suitable for problematic wood species such as beech, maple and bamboo.
• Suitable for wood bonding that corresponds to stress group B3 according to DIN 68602, if 150 g/m² of glue is applied on both sides and a short exposure period of 3 minutes is observed.
• This glue can be used for most types of wood, even exotic woods.
• Can be used on bleeding wood if a number of conditions are met due to the risk of bleeding tannins and resins

Instructions for use:

1. Preparation :
   • Surfaces must be solid, dry and free from dust and grease.
   • If necessary, degrease with Parasilico Cleaner, MEK, alcohol or ethanol.
   • The user must ensure that the product used is suitable for their use. If necessary, contact our technical department.
   • In case of bleeding wood: sand the wood just before gluing and carry out an adhesion test.
   • The wood must be free of dust and grease, and the joints must be calibrated. Thick or poorly calibrated joints weaken the bond strength and increase the pressing time. The wood must be freshly machined.
   • Stir the product well.
2. Laid :
   • Apply on one side or, in case of high water resistance requirements, on both sides, in a thin layer using a brush, roller, spatula or fine-toothed comb. Allow the adhesive to dry for about 5 minutes after application.
   • Assemble the pieces and then compress them for 10 to 20 minutes (depending on the temperature and type of material). If the wood is bleeding, increase the pressing time to 20-30 minutes.
   • Observe the open time and pressing time. Open time and pressing time are highly dependent on working conditions, such as temperature, humidity and material type.
3. Consumption :
   • 150-200 g/m²
4. Cleaning:
   • Before curing: clean tools and surfaces with water and remove uncured residue.
