This is a kit with all the materials and supplies to build a fiberglass reinforced polyester pond or swimming pool yourself, including all the necessary tools .

Applications:

• Constructive system for the self-construction of a pond or swimming pool in liquid polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass.
• This coating can be applied to concrete, screed, cement, wood and quick build brick.
• In addition to strengthening and strengthening the substrate with the polyester resin and fiberglass coating, the topcoat makes the whole thing waterproof.

Treatment :

STEP 1: Preparing the substrate

Before embarking on the construction of a polyester pond, it is best to check the substrate.
This must be stable at all times, like concrete, for example. The substrate must also be dry.
In the case of concrete, it must be older than 28 days for it to fully harden.
When building a polyester pond, try to work in dry weather to avoid discoloration and achieve optimum hardening.

STEP 2: Apply primer and bond coat

You apply the G4 primer with a brush and roller. After application, wait 1 to 4 hours before starting the polyester.
To round off sharp corners and edges, use our handy fiber paste!
Then you roll the surface once with polyester resin. We recommend the H30 here.
Then mix everything well, making sure not to forget the bottom and the edges.
Once your mixture is ready, paint the entire surface.

• Pro Tip: Never use too much resin at once. This can cause problems due to the heat released during the curing process.

STEP 3: Application of two coats of glass mat and liquid polyester resin

After painting the surface, apply the glass mat.
Place the glass veils on the surface and immediately saturate with H30-Azure liquid polyester resin. In this way, the white glass mat becomes glassy and transparent.
Within 20 minutes you should purge everything well with a purge roller.
If you process both layers wet on wet, you get a lower resin consumption. You should let the set harden for about 24 hours.

• Don't forget to ventilate!

STEP 4: Finishing

To give an excellent finish to the polyester of your pond, sand the polyester coating with 60 grit sandpaper.
Then make sure to clean everything thoroughly before applying the top layer. To do this, mix topcoat T35-1 with approx. 10% colorant or simply order the topcoat in the desired color via us.
Then add about 2% MEKP hardener.
You apply the top coat to the dust-free surface with a sheepskin roller.
The topcoat should not be applied in direct sunlight.
After installing the finish, wait about a week to fill the fiberglass basin with water. !!

• Wait a week (= 7 days) before filling the basin with water!!

Security :

• Always wear appropriate protective clothing and gloves.
• Avoid prolonged contact with skin. Cleaner A for tools.

• 10 m², 20 m², 40 m² and 80 m².
