Pluvio - Water infiltration tunnel - MatGeco

Pluvio is the ideal and economical solution for creating rainwater retention and infiltration areas.

Once the earthworks and the foundation have been completed , the modules are easy and quick to fit together. It is possible for two men to install 20 modules/hour, the equivalent of a water infiltration zone of more than 40 m³!

1 tunnel module = 2.12 m³ of water!

Ecology:

It is important that rainwater enters the soil, it is better for the environment and will:

• Reduce the risk of flooding
• Avoid saturation of the public sewerage network
• Improving the process of wastewater treatment plants

Laying like a lost well:

For small infiltration areas during the construction of a house, it is possible to place and use only 1 or 2 modules. Simply attach the closing plates in which you will find the preformed rounds to connect the PVC pipes.

The Pluvio system can be installed in the garden or under a parking area.

The installation requirements and foundations will depend on the surface area greater than the installed system (see installation).

Installation instructions:

1. Dig to the necessary depth to allow the implementation of the different layers up to the final surface.
2. Place a non-woven geotextile of at least 200 g/m² and of sufficient width to cover the bottom and side edges. Provide an overhang of at least 600 mm on each side.
3. Backfill with stone of grain size ± 20-40 mm to a sufficient thickness (min. 150 mm). A: see diagram.
4. Lay the tunnels and fit them together, respecting the installation direction indicated on the tunnel. Leave a lateral space of at least 300 mm and a space of at least 150 mm between the rows of Pluvio laid parallel.
5. Secure the closing plates with screws and connect the PVC water inlet pipes to the system. A PVC pipe can also be installed in the upper part to allow a leakage flow which will be connected to the public sewerage network.
6. Fill the space between the tunnels with washed gravel (grain size ± 20-40 mm) and compact. Backfill with a layer of washed gravel (particle size ± 20-40 mm) with a minimum of 150 mm above the Pluvio system and compact. b.
7. Lay a geotextile over the entire surface C before covering with the different layers of road foundation – min. 500mm. D.
