Silicone Stone - Akemi

One-component stone grouting silicone that hardens in atmospheric humidity, especially for expansion and connection joints on natural and artificial stone susceptible to discoloration such as marble, granite, quartzite, sandstone, limestone, terrazzo, concrete and the like.

Very good adhesion also on plaster, ceramics, glass, wood, many metals and plastics.
One- component , omni-crosslinking sealant that can be stored for 12 months.

Use :

1. Contact surfaces must be dry, clean and free of grease and dust; cleaning with AKEMI Cleaner A for natural and artificial stone, tiles, ceramics, glass, unvarnished wood and metals; AKEMI Cleaner I for synthetic materials and varnished surfaces.
2. To avoid adhesion on the 3 sides and for deeper joints, use AKEMI joint cords; for applications in damp rooms and permanently damp outdoor areas, use closed-cell PE sealing cords, otherwise use open-cell PUR sealing cords.
   Min. joint size 5 x 3 mm (width x depth).
3. Cover the surfaces in the joint edge area with adhesive tape.
4. Application temperature +5°C to +40°C.
5. Apply the product and smooth within 15 minutes.
6. Remove the adhesive tape used in the direction of the joint again before the skin forms.
7. Hardening depends on the layer thickness, temperature and relative humidity of the air and is approximately 2 mm per 24 hours.
8. The devices can be cleaned with AKEMI Cleaner A.
