Sikafloor-169 is a transparent, very low yellowing, low viscosity, 2-component epoxy resin .

2-component epoxy binder for resin mortars , casting coats and sealing coats.

Features

Application domain

• Transparent binder for colored screeds and floor finishes with colored quartz sand.
• Transparent sealing layer for screeds and coating layers sprinkled with colored sand or chips.
• Suitable for normal to medium mechanical stress.
• Used especially in the food and pharmaceutical industry, for showrooms and workstations, etc.

Application

1. First mix component A mechanically.
2. Add component B and mix for 2 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
   To ensure proper mixing, pour the mixed product into a clean container and re-mix briefly.
3. Avoid mixing for too long and too quickly to minimize air entrapment.
4. Mix intensively for 2 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
5. Before application, check the humidity of the support, the relative humidity of the air and the dew point.

Primary :

1. Apply Sikafloor-169 using a brush, roller, rubber broom or spatula.
2. Ensure that an even, bubble-free layer covers the substrate.
3. If necessary, apply 2 coats.
   The recommended application is using a squeegee, sprinkling quartz sand (0.1-0.3 mm)

Sealing layer (on the sprinkled layer):

1. Apply Sikafloor-169 evenly using a 2-component lint-free short-pile roller or rubber float (it is essential to then pass the roller over the surface). To obtain a crack-free finish, work “fresh on fresh”
