SikaCeram-100 Basic - Mortar for ceramic tiles - Sika

SikaCeram® - 100 Basic is a mortar-adhesive pre-mix-component, consisting of high-strength cements, sand selected quartz and specific additives.

Areas of application:

• Installing absorbent ceramic tiles.
• Application inside and outside.
• Walls and floors inside.
• Stones and concrete.
• Collage by points of polystyrene insulation boards, foam polyurethane, mineral wool or glass wool.

Mixed with SikaCeram® T-Latex (7 - 7.25 l/bag), can be used for the following applications:

• Laying tiles porcelain large format on Interior and exterior walls.
• Laying of tiles on the front.
• Laying floor tiles natural stone or marble, as far as the concerned materials are not sensitive to water and do not stain.
• Laying tiles on heating floors (hydraulic and electrical systems).
• Laying of tiles in swimming pools.

Consumption

Consumption is a function of the profile surface and roughness of the support, the size of the tiles and the application technique (sticking to one side or double-sided).

As an indication, in kilograms of powder per m²:

• Trowel notched 6 mm ~ 2-3 kg/m²
• Trowel notched 8 mm ~ 3-4 kg/m²
• Trowel notched 10 mm ~ 5-7 kg/m²

Conservation

12 months from the date of manufacture if stored in the packing of origin intact and closed, in a cool and dry place.
