Sika Abraroc SR - Abrasion resistant mortar - Sika

Sika Abraroc is a-component mortar cement based with excellent resistance to hydraulic abrasion.
Sika Abraroc conforms to the R4 of EN 1504-3 class and the requirements applicable to the clevises at base of cement in accordance with the standard EN 13813.

Areas of application

Sika Abraroc is particularly suitable for the following uses:

• Mortar protection resistant to abrasion, to be applied on the concrete, natural stone or other surfaces in mortar.
• Restoration work (principle 3, 3.1 and 3.3 of EN 1504-9 methods). Repair of concrete eroded or damaged for works of infrastructure and superstructure, especially in places where high abrasion resistance is required.
• Structural reinforcement (principle 4, method of EN 1504-9 4.4). Increase the bearing capacity of the concrete by the addition of mortar structure.
• Maintenance or restoration of passivity (principle 7, 7.1 and 7.2 of EN 1504-9 methods). Increase in coverage with additional mortar and replacement of contaminated or carbonated concrete.

Sika Abraroc protects and repairs the hydraulic structures subject to hydraulic abrasion and the effects of aggressive water (pH > 4):

• Sewers and sewage pipes.
• Dams.
• Marine works, etc.

Sika Abraroc is suitable also for the protection and repair of structures subject to abrasion or high mechanical loads:

• Storage or loading areas.
• Fund of silos.
• Industrial floors, etc.

Consumption

Variable depending on the roughness of the support and the thickness of the applied layer. Usually, 2 kg of propellant gives about 1 liter of fresh product. It takes about 21 kg of powder for a layer of 10 mm thick about 1 m².
