      SWS outside standard - Airtight membrane - Soudal

      SWS Outside Standard Tape is a membrane permeable to water vapour, composed of a laminated polyethylene veil and covered with felt on both sides.

      • It has a strong pressure-sensitive adhesive for better adhesion to the window frame.
      • Always use Soudafoil 360H to adhere the membrane to the wall.
      • Can be plastered directly or finished with an exterior wall insulation system (ETICS).
      • This membrane is part of the SWS system designed for windows (Soudal Window System)

      Applications:

      • SWS Outside Standard Tape guarantees an airtight connection against driving rain.
      • This flexible membrane can also be used as an airtight and driving rain seal for all types of wall connections, even on uneven surfaces.

      Manual :

      1. SWS Outside Standard can only be applied outdoors.
      2. Depending on the situation, the installation of SWS Outside Standard can be carried out before or after the installation of the facade element (eg window).
      3. There are 2 methods to apply SWS Outside Standard.
        It is possible to work with a single strip or with 4 separate strips.
        In both cases, additional material must be provided for the corners (approx. 5 to 10 cm per corner).
      4. Once the protection is removed from the membrane and the membrane is unrolled, apply it with the adhesive strip (printed side) to the facade element.
      5. Both sides of the membrane can be plastered and joined.
      6. To fix the film to the structure/masonry, use Soudafoil 360H.
      7. To fix the film, apply Soudafoil 360H to the structure / masonry.
      8. Glue the film, not too tight, on the structural work, in order to compensate for any movements between the different construction elements but avoid bending it. Then press the film evenly with a pressure roller.
