Soudatight WP is a one-component, liquid membrane based on hybrid polymers, specially developed for waterproofing exterior window/floor junctions (such as balcony and terrace windows). It is also suitable for creating a watertight finish around the openings of insulated precast concrete panels. After curing, Soudatight WP forms a seamless, elastic, vapor-permeable, and waterproof membrane that can be plastered and painted. The product should be applied in two coats, with Soudatextile between the two layers.

Applications:

• For water sealing of window-floor connections such as terraces and balconies, basement connections and foundations (above ground), embrasures in insulated prefabricated concrete panels and joints between prefabricated concrete elements.

Instructions for use:

• Soudatight WP can be applied directly to the surface with a flat brush.
• Apply the undiluted coating evenly in a layer at least 1 mm thick (1/2 to 2/3 of the total layer thickness).
• Place Soudatextile in the still damp layer, avoid creases and air inclusions and press Soudatextile firmly into the wet layer with a brush or a putty knife.
• Several pieces of fleece should overlap by 3 to 5 cm.
• Cut out the fleece pieces in advance for corners or penetrations and apply them before the larger pieces.
• Apply a second layer of Soudatight WP (1/2 to 1/3 of the total layer thickness) over Soudatextile, preferably 1 cm wider than the reinforcements.
• It is recommended to use masking tape (on the window frame), which should be removed shortly after applying Soudatight WP, before hardening.

1. Can Soudatight WP be applied to a damp surface?
   Yes, the product can tolerate slight residual moisture, but the surface must not be dripping wet or saturated with water. For optimal adhesion, a dry surface is recommended.
2. Can the product be used outdoors?
   Yes, Soudatight WP is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, including for buried walls or walls exposed to rain after complete drying.
3. Is it compatible with tiles?
   Yes, once dry, Soudatight WP serves as a barrier under tiles, perfectly compatible with conventional tile adhesives.
4. Can it be used as a primary color?
   It can be used as a primer to stabilize a substrate, but its primary function remains waterproofing. For a specific primer, consult the manufacturer's recommendations.
5. What is the lifespan of the membrane once applied?
   When applied correctly, the membrane offers durable protection, resistant to micro-cracks and weathering. Its lifespan easily exceeds 10 years, depending on exposure conditions.
6. Is it mandatory to apply multiple coats?
   Yes, to guarantee effective and consistent waterproofing, at least two layers are recommended.
7. Is the product paintable?
   Yes, once dry, Soudatight WP can be covered with paint, plaster or tile adhesive, depending on your project.
8. Can it replace a tank lining?
   Soudatight WP provides protection against moisture, but for situations involving pressurized water or structural tanking, a specific system may be required.
9. What is the exact consumption?
   On average, 1 to 1.5 kg/m², but this depends on the substrate and the target thickness. Rough substrates result in higher consumption.
10. How long should you wait before re-covering?
    Wait for complete drying, usually between 12 and 24 hours.
