SikaTop-107 Protection is a concrete surface protection coating as well as a waterproofing agent.

Pre-dosed micro-mortar comprising:

• component A (resin emulsion)
• component B (cement and special fillers)

After mixing, a grout is obtained that can be applied with a roller, brush or by spraying.

Areas of application

Protection of concrete structures: SikaTop-107 Protection meets the requirements of standard EN 1504-9 in the following protection cases:

• Protection against penetration risks (Principle 1, Method 1.3)
• Humidity control (Principle 2, Method 2.3)
• Increasing the resistivity of concrete (Principle 8, Method 8.3)
• Protection of concrete against atmospheric aggressions, carbonation and aggressive environments (pure waters, selenitic waters, etc.): preferably use SikaTop-107 Grey Protection, based on PMES cement.
• Protection of mortars and concretes against the action of frost and de-icing salts (gutters, sidewalks, cornices, corbels, road slabs, parapets).
• Protection on the underside of the bridge and in the presence of moisture (condensation).
• Protective coating applied after concrete repair using SikaTop and Sika MonoTop mortars (refer to the technical data sheet of the selected product).

Waterproofing coating:

• Interior linings of basins, tanks, reservoirs, wastewater treatment plants and other hydraulic structures (CCT 33).
• Waterproofing of the foundations of dwellings.
  Outside: exterior walls of cellars before backfilling.
  Indoors: cellar walls, garages, underground rooms.

Application

1. Pour all of component A (resin emulsion) into a clean container with a wide opening (bucket, can with a full opening).
2. Gradually add all of component B (powder) while mixing with an electric mixer for 2 to 3 minutes until a lump-free mortar of uniform color is obtained.
   Preparation of the mixture with a slow speed mixer (300 rpm) equipped with a propeller of diameter 10 to 15 cm.
3. The application can be done with a brush, roller or by spraying.
4. A minimum of two coats are required for use as a waterproofing coating.
5. The finish can be achieved by smoothing with a brush.
6. To bridge any micro-cracks in the substrate and improve the coating's resistance to cracking and crazing, it is possible to use an alkali-treated glass reinforcement (Sika Toile 75), to be embedded in the first layer of SikaTop-107 Protection.
7. Application by projection: SABLON S3 from SULLAIR, SP5 from PUTZMEISTER, TURBOSOL T6 distributed by IMER FRANCE, N2V from PFT.

Consumption

3 to 4 kg/m² for both coats

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is SikaTop®-107 Protection really waterproof?
   Yes, once correctly applied in at least two coats, it forms a waterproof barrier, while remaining breathable to water vapor.
2. Can it be used outdoors?
   Yes, SikaTop®-107 Protection is perfectly suited for outdoor use. It is resistant to frost, rain and climatic variations.
3. Can it be applied to a cracked wall?
   Yes, it is capable of bridging microcracks. However, structural cracks must be repaired beforehand.
4. Is it compatible with drinking water?
   Yes, after complete hardening, SikaTop®-107 Protection is compatible with drinking water (reservoirs, tanks).
5. Can you tile over it?
   Yes, it is possible to glue tiles after they have completely dried, using a suitable adhesive.
6. How long does it take before it can be put back into service?
   Allow approximately 4 to 6 hours of drying time between coats. For prolonged exposure to water or other materials, 7 days is recommended.
7. Is it easy for an individual to implement?
   Yes, its application with a brush or roller makes it accessible to DIY enthusiasts, while still offering a professional result.
8. What is the difference with a bituminous coating?
   Unlike bituminous products, SikaTop®-107 Protection is: more breathable, more flexible, compatible with tiles, and usable indoors.
