Use :

1. Shake well before use.
   The optimal conditions for impregnation are: a stone that is as dry as possible, a temperature between 10 and 30°C and protection from rain for 2 to 3 hours.
   During the treatment, the coating must not be heated by sunlight or underfloor heating.
2. Cracks larger than 0.3 mm must be closed before stain-resistant treatment.
3. Generally, 1 to 2 applications without waiting for the first coat to dry are sufficient.
   On a low-absorbency surface, dilution with AKEMI Nitro Thinner is recommended.
4. Apply the product with a brush, or a wet broom.
   On facades, a vacuum sprayer can be used with a low pressure (max 1 bar) and a distance from the nozzle of 5 to 10 cm (precaution to take: check the resistance and sealing of the hose to solvents).
   The stain remover is applied in this way until it runs down 40 to 50 cm.
5. Approximately 20 minutes after application, before the water repellent dries on the surface, wipe off any excess that is not absorbed with a cloth so that no product remains on the surface.
   To avoid haze on polished surfaces, they must be repolished (using either a pad, a very soft cloth, or a sheepskin).
6. In case of reduced effectiveness or irregular application, it is perfectly possible to reapply.
   The effect on water and oil appears after a few minutes and full effectiveness is achieved after 2 to 3 hours.
7. It is necessary to ventilate well (approx. 2 - 3 days) when using in the food industry.
8. Cleaning of work tools can be carried out with AKEMI Nitro Thinner.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does the product change the color of the stone?
   No, it is colorless and does not form a film. The natural appearance is preserved. Some materials may appear slightly revived during application, but the effect disappears upon drying.
2. Can it be used on bluestone / granite / marble?
   Yes, it is perfectly compatible with most natural stones. For marble and limestone, avoid acidic cleaning after treatment.
3. Can it be used on an outdoor terrace?
   Yes, the product is UV and weather resistant, ideal for terraces, steps and pool decks.
4. Is the effect immediate?
   The product begins to work once completely dry, i.e., 24 hours. The optimal beading effect appears after 48 hours.
5. How long does the protection last?
   Generally 2 to 4 years depending on use, abrasion and exposure to weather.
6. Can it be applied to a surface that is already oiled or protected?
   No, the surface must be absorbent. Old film-forming treatments must be removed.
7. Is the product dangerous for animals or plants?
   Once dry, there is no risk. During application, avoid direct contact and protect vegetation.
8. Can it be used in a kitchen (worktop)?
   Yes, it is suitable for natural stone worktops. Use a mild cleaner between uses.
9. What is the difference between a “beading effect” and a classic waterproofing product?
   Nano-beading technology repels water and oils more effectively and makes cleaning much easier than a standard water repellent.
10. Should multiple coats be applied?
    On porous surfaces such as travertine or concrete, two coats are recommended. On less absorbent surfaces, one coat may suffice.
