Duro Impregnator protects absorbent natural and artificial stones, terracotta , terrazzo and unglazed ceramic slabs against the penetration of water and dirt.
Particularly suitable for limestone (Limra, Galala, Volakas, Crema Marfil etc.), marbles , bricks , sandstone , concrete.

• As a general rule, the color of the stone is not modified (do a test beforehand) with a few exceptions (eg quartzite, serpentine, gneiss).
• Yield: approx. 20m²/litre depending on the absorbency of the stone.

Use :

a) Shake well before use. The optimal conditions for impregnation are: the driest stone possible, a temperature between 10 and 30°C as well as protection against rain for 24 hours. During processing, the coating should not be heated by direct sunlight or underfloor heating. b) Cracks of more than 0.3 mm must be closed before the anti-stain treatment. c) In general, 1 to 2 applications without waiting for the drying of the first pass are sufficient. On a weakly absorbing surface, a 1:1 dilution with AKEMI® Nitro Diluant is possible. d) Apply the product with a wet brush or broom. On facades, a vacuum sprayer can be used with low pressure (max 1 bar) and a distance from the nozzle of 15 cm (precaution to be taken: check the resistance and tightness of the pipe to solvents). The anti-stain is thus applied until it runs over 40 to 50 cm. e) Approximately 20 minutes after application, before the water repellent dries on the surface, the excess that is not absorbed must be wiped off with a cloth so that no product remains on the surface. To avoid veils on the polished surfaces, they must be repolished (we use either a pad, a very soft cloth, or a sheepskin). f) In the event of reduced effectiveness or irregular application, it is possible to repeat an application without any problem. The effect against water and oil appears after about 4 - 6 hours and full effectiveness is reached after a week. g) The cleaning of working tools can be carried out with AKEMI® Nitro Diluant.
