Activator spray 601 - Primer for sealants - Soudal

Activator Spray temporarily modifies the surface tension of lacquered aluminum profiles, to improve the adhesion of silicones or hybrid polymers.

Features :

Applications:

• Improves adhesion on powder coated aluminum (window profiles) for both regular and textured powder coatings
• Improves adhesion of various adhesives, sealants and hybrid tapes (MS, SMX) or silicone compounds
• Improves adhesion on different types of plastic: PVC, ABS, PP, PP.

Manual :

• Shake the aerosol well before use.
• Make sure the substrate is clean, dry, dust and grease free.
• Use for example Soudal Surface Cleaner before applying Activator Spray 601.
• During application, keep the aerosol upright and keep pressing on the head.
• Spray from a distance of about 20 cm.
• Apply a thin layer. 2 coats max.
• If over-sprayed, a residue will still remain.
• Apply adhesive tape, sealant or joint filler within 5 minutes to 4 hours after application of Activator Spray 601 in order to avoid (re)contamination.
• After use, turn the aerosol upside down and squeeze the head until only the propellant escapes.
• This prevents the aerosol from becoming clogged with the product.
