LIQ membrane - Waterproof and elastic underlay - PTB Compaktuna

LIQ Membrane (PTB-Waterproof Membrane) is a waterproof and elastic underlay for walls and floors in damp places such as bathrooms , showers , toilets , industrial kitchens , etc... that the used before placing tiles or ceramic coverings.

Features :

• Suitable substrates are all mineral surfaces, wooden boards, plasterboards, plaster wall panels, floors with underfloor heating, etc.
• This flexible, crack-resistant coating can be used both indoors and outdoors.
• Not suitable for water leaks and for use in swimming pools.

Manual :

1. LIQ membrane is always applied to a healthy, pure surface, free of dust and oil stains.
   Stir well before using.
2. LIQ Membrane is applied liberally in two or three layers using a brush or roller.
3. For the base coat, Membrane LIQ is diluted with 5% water.
   The second and third coats are not diluted.
   The previous coat must always be dry before the next coat can be applied.
4. In critical areas such as corners, around pipe crossings, etc. a reinforcement can be placed in the still wet base layer ( LIQ Membrane Reinforcement Strip ) after which this area is immediately covered with a second layer.
5. Subsequent layers can then be applied.
6. LIQ membrane can also be sprayed with an airless system.
7. In this case, the dilution of the first layer is not indicated.
8. To bond tiles to the LIQ Membrane, you must use a C2 S1 tile adhesive, such as FLEXcement PLUS or FLEXcement RAPID .

Consumption :

±0.2 to 0.3 L per layer/m²
±8 m²/4.7 L bucket

Mix ratio:

Base coat: add 5% water
Cover layer: undiluted

Conditioning :

4.7 L: Pink.
