Soudacompound FR - Fireproof covering - Soudal

Soudacompound FR is a non-shrinking, gypsum-based mortar that can be mixed with water.
The mortar can be mixed either to pour it or to spread it around the passages.

Features :

• Prevents the spread of fire and smoke.
• Good acoustic insulation: 62 dB with 50 mm thickness.
• Suitable for use in most passageways.
• Withstands weight load (1.5 kN)
• No shrinkage or cracking.
• Easy installation (can be applied with a COX Jumbo gun).
• No maintenance required. Also works in wet conditions.
• Soudawrap P FR or Soudacollar P FR must be used when installing with combustible materials.
• Can be painted.

Applications:

• Soudacompound FR can be used to seal penetrations in fire rated walls and floors. The product offers up to 4 hours of fire resistance.

Applications:

1. Measure the right amount of water into the container and gradually add Soudacompound FR into the water, stirring constantly until the mass is uniform.
2. The mixing ratio of water and powder is 1:3, for the pourable mass 1:2.
3. Mix only the quantity necessary during the use of the product (10-20 min).
4. Working and curing times are reduced by decreasing the amount of water or increasing the temperature.
5. Note that the operation cannot be performed at temperatures above 35°C.
   Curing time is normally around 30-90 minutes.
6. The mixing of large enough quantities can be done with a mixing rod, it can be manual for smaller quantities.
7. Remove any loose material around the passage.
8. Add the gypsum to the clear water and mix either by hand or with a mixer.
9. Pour the mass into the mold or spread it with a spatula in the passage.
10. Keep the bag dry and protect it from potential shocks.
11. Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use.
