Aussie-trol - Cell activator for pouring - Owatrol

AUSSIE-TROL is an ideal cell activator for your pouring acrylic paints. This additive formulated with water will allow you to multiply and vary the shapes and patterns of your creation.

This cell activator modifies the sliding and tension properties of acrylic paints. This product can be used in addition to our FLOETROL product which will promote separation between colors.

Properties :

• It makes it easier to spread the paint on the canvas.
• Improves color gradient.
• Color, opacity, and color texture are preserved.
• Excellent color separation.
• Optimizes the formation of cells and networks.
• Also works with special pouring additive products.

Application :

1. On the surface chosen to receive the decoration, first pour the base: “cushion” paint.
   This paint must be fluid but not too liquid; it will serve as a vector to make the colors slide. We recommend classic white acrylic paint. This paint must not contain FLOETROL additives.
2. Pour the colored paints with FLOETROL additives onto this cushion as explained in the previous paragraph. They can be poured all in the same place or in various positions but on top of the white cushion.
3. In order to optimize the effects, to vary the shapes, the size of the cells, to push the interactions of the colors further, pour the paint + AUSSIE-TROL mixture last. Pour over each of the areas where the paint + FLOETROL mixtures have been deposited, the AUSSIE-TROL will allow better distribution of cells and more latitude to create new shapes. We recommend using a paint of the same color as that of the cushion for mixing with AUSSIE-TROL.
4. Blow using a straw, with your mouth, in short bursts at the level of the “islands” of color, from the center outwards (towards the white cushion). The colors slide and move apart, the cells appear.
5. For the rest, let your creativity and imagination run free. Continue to blow, rotate, wave or pendulum movement, move the paints and the cushion as you wish to complete your work.
6. Depending on the type of acrylic paint used and the mixture proportions chosen, it is possible that the drying of the paints may be significantly slowed or even that their surface hardness may change. This can cause brittleness in handling and cause marks when the paint is touched.
7. This phenomenon can be limited with the use of a surface varnish. In addition, a finishing varnish will be beneficial to even out the gloss.
8. Be careful when the painting is finalized with a surface varnish, if the latter is too rigid or brittle, there may be a risk of cracking. To ensure complete drying of the paint, we recommend a long drying time (at least 1 week) before applying a varnish.
