Elixfuge - Water repellent and colorless hydrophobic - Owatrol

Reduces the porosity of unpainted mineral substrates in order to avoid any moisture absorption without modifying their appearance.

Properties :

• Dripping and beading effect that repels water:
  • Prevents the absorption of water and dissolved aggressive agents (de-icing salt, sea salt...).
  • Stops the development of micro-organisms which will be washed away with the first rain.
  • Excellent protection in driving rain.
• Limits rising saltpetre.
• Protects the support in periods of freezing and thawing.
• Colourless: retains the natural appearance of the support.
• Not film forming.
• Not recoatable with paint.
• Waterproofs porous materials (facades, porous walls and roofs, etc.).
• UV resistant.
• The yield can vary according to several parameters: the state and the porosity of the support, the temperature and the relative hygrometry.
  Between 3 and 6 m2/L, depending on support absorption.

Application :

1. Mix the product well before application.
2. Very liquid, applied by roller or sprayer.
3. Apply wet on wet until total saturation of the support.
   Let dry.
4. Never cover with a finish.
5. When Elixfuge is completely dry, proceed with the water drop test: if the drop beads, the support is well waterproofed.
6. Otherwise, reapply a second layer of Elixfuge to reinforce the waterproofing of the support.

• Tiles, bricks, raw and architectonic concrete, cement plaster, marble...
• After sandblasting and repointing stone or brick walls.
• May be suitable for wood.
