PU010 - PU adhesive foam for insulation panels - Illbruck

PU010 is a single-component polyurethane foam, which expands and hardens with the humidity of the air and the support, to very easily achieve a bonding both powerful and permanent, but also thermal and acoustic insulation.

Scope:

  • The bonding of insulating panels (PSE, PU) as part of an external insulation system (ITE); an aerosol sticks about 4 to 6 m² of insulating panels.
  • The bonding of insulating panels in concrete cellars.
  • Various applications of bonding and thermal and acoustic insulation.
  • The recapping of small cavities.

Advantage:

  • Aerosol equipped with the 2-in-1 system: manual or pistolable use.
  • Replaces the glue mortar (1 aerosol vs 1 bag of glue).
  • Powerful and permanent bonding.
  • Versatile: indoor and outdoor.
  • Charging: 3 hours.

Preparation:

  • PU010 must be used at an ambient temperature between +5°C and +35°C.
  • The aerosol must be at a temperature between +10°C and +30°C.
  • The supports must be strong, dusted and degreased.
  • Moisten the adhesion surfaces to obtain a foam with a homogeneous cell structure and faster hardening.
  • Shake the aerosol vigorously 20 to 30 times before use.
  • Do not apply in high winds.

Implementation:

Manual implementation:

  • Remove the protection at the top of the aerosol.
  • Follow the explanations of the pictograms opposite.
  • To bring out the foam, press lightly on the valve; the amount of extruded foam can be dosed by more or less actuating the lever on the valve.

Pistolable implementation:

  • Remove the protection at the top of the aerosol.
  • Screw the aerosol thoroughly onto the gun. Use the green ring.
  • Dose the extrusion by lightly pressing the trigger of the gun and adjust the quantity with the adjustment screw.

For the bonding of insulating panels:

  • Apply the foam on the inner surface of the insulating panel by extruding a cord of 3 to 4 cm in diameter on the periphery of the panel to be glued and about 3 cm away from the edge then a last cord in the shape of "W" inside (at least 40% of the panel will be covered with glue).
  • Wait 5 to 10 minutes (not exceeding 10 minutes) so that the glue develops a sufficient tack (suction cup effect).
  • Position the panel on the wall (the panel can be repositioned during the open time of the glue or about 10 minutes).
  • Cut off hardened foam residues.
  • The final resistance is obtained after 3 h. it is important to follow the instructions of the manufacturer of insulating panels.

Hygiene and safety precautions:

  • Work only in well-ventilated premises.
  • Do not smoke.
  • Wear protective clothing.
  • Protect the eyes and wear protective gloves.
  • Largely protect the working area with paper or plastic sheet.

Cleaning:

  • After use, clean quickly with the Illbruck AA290 cleaner either the valve and nozzle (for manual use) or the outside of the gun and its tip (for pistolable use).
  • Hardened foam can only be removed mechanically (cutter, sandpaper sanding, etc.). It is therefore strongly recommended to protect the floors, with plastic film or paper, in the work areas.

Conditioning:

  • Aerosol of 750 ml.

Yield:

  • An aerosol makes it possible to glue about 6 m2 of insulating panels.
