Giethars GTS + Mekp - Casting resin - Vosschemie Soloplast

Giethars GTS + Mekp is a 2-component pre-accelerated transparent polyester casting resin with very good UV resistance.

Applications:

• To be cast in a crystalline polyester.
• For example for casting fragile objects, wedding bouquets, photos, shells, etc.

Treatment :

1. Mix the resin with 1-3% Mekp hardener (depending on the volume to be poured) and pour the resin into the mold without air bubbles.
2. Pot life: 30 min at 20°C.
3. Always make small amounts relative to pot life.
4. When pouring large amounts of resin, add a maximum of 0.5-1% hardener.

Tip : Our Trennspray can be used as a release agent and YC High Gloss Finish as a polishing paste.

Caution ! : Do not pour metal objects, as this may cause a reaction with the resin.

Note : All polyesters can be slowed down with an inhibitor.

Security :

• Always wear appropriate protective clothing and gloves.
• Avoid prolonged contact with skin.
• Tool cleaner: Cleaner (ecological alternative to acetone)
• This product contains styrene and should therefore be handled in accordance with safety rules.

Conditioning :

• 500g, 1kg.
