FM310 - Manual and sprayable universal PU foam - Illbruck

FM310 is a single-component polyurethane foam, which expands and hardens with moisture from the air and support.

It is an expansive foam of professional quality, which is suitable on all supports encountered in construction: concrete, masonry, stone, plaster, wood, cement and mineral fiber concrete, polystyrene, polyester, rigid PVC ...

This aerosol is equipped with an innovative 2-in-1 system, allowing manual and pistolable use.

For filling cavities, we recommend manual use with the nozzle; if more precise use of the foam is required the aerosol can be screwed onto an expandive foam gun such as the illbruck AA255 gun.

Scope of application

FM310 can be used for any acoustic soundproofing, thermal insulation and cavity filling operation.

Advantage:

  • 2-in-1 system: pistolable & manual.
  • Use all directions 360°.
  • Resistant to weather, heat, moisture (hardened foam must be protected from UV rays).
  • Propellant without HCFC.
  • Good dimensional stability.
  • High expansion volume.

Preparation:

  • FM310 must be used at an ambient temperature between -10°C and +35°C.
  • The aerosol must be at a temperature between +10°C and +30°C.
  • The supports must be strong, dusted and degreased.
  • Moisten the adhesion surfaces to obtain a foam with a homogeneous cell structure and faster hardening.
  • Shake the aerosol well 20 to 30 times before use.

Implementation:

Manual:

  • Remove the protection at the top of the aerosol.
  • Follow the explanations of the pictograms opposite
  • To bring out the foam, press lightly on the valve; the amount of extruded foam can be dosed by more or less actuating the lever on the valve.
  • Fill the cavities to 60% to leave room for foam expansion.
  • For large cavities (more than 5cm deep), it is better to apply the foam in several layers and moisten between each layer (wait 30min between each layer).

Pistolable:

  • Remove the protection at the top of the aerosol.
  • Screw the aerosol thoroughly onto the gun. Use the green clamping ring.
  • Dose the extrusion by lightly pressing the trigger of the gun and adjust the quantity with the adjustment screw.
  • Fill the cavities to 80% to leave room for foam expansion.

For large cavities (more than 5cm deep), it is better to apply the foam in several layers and moisten between each layer (wait 30min between each layer).

Hygiene and safety precautions

  • Work only in well-ventilated premises.
  • Do not smoke.
  • Wear protective clothing.
  • Protect the eyes and wear protective gloves.
  • Largely protect the working area with paper or plastic sheet.

Cleaning:

  • After use, clean quickly with the illbruck AA290 cleaner either the valve and nozzle (for manual use) or the outside of the gun and its tip (for pistolable use).
  • The hardened foam can only be removed mechanically (cutter, sanding with sandpaper...). It is therefore strongly recommended to protect the floors with plastic film or paper in the work areas.

Conditioning:

  • Aerosol 2 in 1 of 750 ml.
