Sikavit-CF is a chlorine-free accelerator and antifreeze for concrete and mortar.

Features / Benefits

• Sikavit-CF improves the workability of fresh concrete and masonry mortar without the formation of additional air bubbles.
• In addition, Sikavit-CF accelerates the reaction of cement and thereby also the hardening process of fresh concrete and masonry mortar.
• At low temperatures, the required compressive strength (10 N/mm²) is achieved in a shorter time.

Application areas

• Sikavit-CF is a chlorine-free, economical and reliable antifreeze, which is especially suitable for concrete and masonry during winter periods.
• Sikavit-CF is suitable for use in reinforced concrete, exposed concrete and masonry mortar.
• The product can be used during light frost during the day or in anticipation of night frost and/or cold spells.
• The use of Sikavit-CF has no negative consequences when starting up the concrete pump.

Application

Sikavit-CF can be dosed together with the mix water or added together with the mix water.
The practical working life of concrete/masonry mortar is a function of several parameters, such as the type of cement, the cement content, the water content and the temperature.

In addition, the following factors must be taken into account:

1. Cement dosage: at least 300 kg/m²
2. Do not use frozen raw materials, reinforcement or formwork
3. The temperature of the fresh concrete must be at least +5°C when pouring into the formwork
4. Reduce mixing water to a strict minimum
5. Protect freshly poured concrete against moisture or heat loss until a compressive strength of at least 10 N/mm² is achieved

Consumption

The dosage is approximately 1.0 to 2.0% of the cement weight.
A preliminary suitability test is necessary before use.
