Sika Boom-152 Foamfix - Foam adhesive with nozzle - Sika

Sika Boom-152 Foam Fix is a one-component, self-expanding polyurethane foam adhesive , applied using a nozzle , which adheres well to many types of substrates.
It is ideal for efficient and economical permanent bonding of insulation boards and plasterboard.

Application areas

The product is designed for use indoors and outdoors, above and below ground level:

  • Plasterboard.
  • Extruded polystyrene panels (XPS).
  • Expanded polystyrene panels (EPS).
  • Wood fiber panels.
  • Cork insulation panels.
  • Non-structural building elements.

Application

  1. Shake the aerosol well for at least 20 times before use.
    Repeat agitation after long breaks in use.
  2. Remove the cap from the aerosol.
  3. Screw the nozzle firmly onto the thread of the aerosol without pressing the trigger or the valve.
  4. Dispense the foam by pressing the trigger.
    To ensure proper flow, hold can upside down while dispensing.
    The amount of extruded foam can be adjusted by applying more or less pressure to the trigger.
  5. Apply foam lines 2-3 cm wide on the panel.
  6. Space the rows about 25 cm apart.
  7. Before attaching the panels to the substrate, allow the foam to harden for the specified waiting time (2 - 3 minutes).
  8. Fix the panels within the specified open time of the foam (5 - 8 minutes).
    Do not move or reattach panels once foam has begun to harden.
    If a panel needs to be removed and reattached, reapply the foam as previously described.
  9. Fill gaps and joints between panels with foam.
    small gaps can be filled with an extension tube, however this will reduce foam flow.

Consumption

Yield: ~23m, 30mm line width.
