ECCOdal is a turf slab based on recycled PEHD. The grass slab is provided with expansion joints to absorb thermal and mechanical tensions.

Why opt for turf slabs?

Increasingly, we are facing a shortage of groundwater on the one hand and flooding on the other, as water enters the ground less and less easily because of the proliferation of coatings (concrete, paving, paving, etc.). This is why Flanders has adopted, since 1 January 2014, stricter stormwater legislation: stormwater must either be harvested from a stormwater recovery well or enter the ground. Grass slabs and gravel stabilizer slabs are a water-permeable coating, making it easier for water to enter the soil. This avoids groundwater shortages and flooding without having to invest in an expensive drainage system. It is also a way to reduce our ecological footprint and protect the natural biotope.

Finally, ecCOdal turf slabs have been specifically designed with the characteristics of a turf slab, unlike other slabs that are used as both a gravel stabilizer and a turf slab. Due to their technical characteristics, ECCOdal turf slabs are exclusively intended to be filled with turf, while ECCOgravel gravel stabilizer slabs are specifically designed to accommodate gravel.
