The honeycomb structure, equipped with water-permeable heat-bonded geotextile , ensures that the gravel is stabilized. The plates are placed on a base constructed according to the expected loads.

The plates are then filled and covered with decorative gravel or chippings. This process prevents the gravel or chippings from moving once in place. We therefore obtain an extremely resistant base and a surface that can be passed on with the greatest ease, on foot or by vehicle , whatever the weather conditions.

Why a gravel stabilizer?

Gravel surfaces are “trendy”. However, they have one big drawback. In the event of intense traffic of people or vehicles, the gravel may move. The comfort of a gravel surface can be seriously compromised.

The solution used previously:

You can opt for very fine-grained gravel. In this case, the gravel is stable (e.g. gravel type 0-5 or 0-15 mm). However, as the quantity of fine grains increases, water permeability decreases. This causes the formation of puddles, cavities and ruts. In addition, the fine grains get stuck in the soles...

The solution: gravel stabilizing slabs:

Opt for gravel without fine grains (from 4 mm). The gravel is held in place using gravel stabilizers and the grids are covered with a layer of finishing gravel.

ECCOgravel is a gravel stabilizer with very good pressure resistance, whether empty or filled. For the stabilization of the gravel, it is necessary at all times to prevent gravel from being inserted under the stabilizing slab.
