SikaCeram EpoxyGrout - Epoxy grout for joints - Sika

SikaCeram EpoxyGrout is a 2-component epoxy resin -based jointing mortar , which contains quartz aggregates and specific additives.
It has a delicate finish and brilliant colours, and is ideal for surfaces that need to be kept perfectly clean.

Areas of application

• Sealing of joints in ceramic or stone floors and walls* such as glass or marble mosaics, porcelain, clinkers, in places where the surfaces are subject to acid attacks or where non-absorbent joints are required, such as in dairies, tanneries, paper mills, laboratories of all kinds, slaughterhouses, industrial kitchens, etc.
• Sealing of floor joints subject to heavy traffic, industrial warehouses, shopping centers, etc.
• Suitable for sealing swimming pool joints, even if they are filled with sea water.

* Before sealing natural stone joints, we advise you to check whether the material is washable from the floor, and whether the color of the stone changes.

Application

1. SikaCeram EpoxyGrout is a reactive joint sealant.
   This means that it hardens through a chemical reaction between the two components A and B.
2. It is therefore imperative to ensure that these components are carefully mixed.
3. Start by pouring the liquid (comp. B) into the dough (comp. A), then mix using a mixer with a spiral propeller.
4. The reaction generated by these components is exothermic (release of heat).
5. Remember that if the components are mixed at high speed, the heat generated will significantly accelerate the curing process and therefore shorten the shelf life of the product.
6. The resulting paste is creamy and easily applied with a rubber spatula.

Consumption depends on the surface and roughness of the support, as well as the size of the tiles and the width of the joints.
