Soudafoam FR HY Gun is a one-component, low-expansion polyurethane foam for use with a spray gun. The foam contains gases (CFC- and HCFC-free) that do not harm the ozone layer.

Soudafoam FR HY Gun is a PU foam with flame-retardant properties in accordance with the European standard EN 1366-4.

Because of Duravalve, the yield remains optimal throughout the storage period, even when stored or transported horizontally.

Instructions for use:

• Shake the aerosol can for at least 30 seconds, or at least 20 times vigorously.
• Screw the aerosol can onto the gun.
• Lightly dampen the clean, grease-free surface to speed up foam curing. Only partially fill the gaps (approx. 65%), as the foam will continue to expand.
• Shake the aerosol can regularly during use.
• If applying multiple coats, dampen the surface between each coat.
• Uncured foam can be removed using Soudal Foam cleaner or acetone.
• Before using any of these cleaners, check that the surfaces are resistant to it, especially plastics, lacquered or painted surfaces.

1. Is Soudafoam FR HY Gun foam truly fire-resistant?

   The FR HY Gun version is specially formulated to withstand high temperatures, slow the spread of fire, and maintain its structure in the event of a fire. Standard foam does not offer this level of fire resistance.
3. Can the foam be applied without a gun?
   No, this version is only for gun application, which guarantees more precise application and better flow control.
4. What materials can it be used on?
   It adheres to concrete, brick, stone, wood, plaster, PVC, aluminum, steel, insulating materials… Avoid application on PP, PE and very greasy surfaces.
5. Can you paint the foam once it's dry?
   Yes, after complete hardening. An intumescent paint can be applied to enhance fire resistance.
6. Is this foam suitable for outdoor use?
   Yes, provided it is protected from UV rays (paint or coating), like all PU foams.
7. Is it reusable after opening?
   If the gun remains charged and properly purged, the foam can be reused several weeks later.
8. What type of cleaning product should I use?
   Before hardening, use a PU foam cleaner (Soudal Gun & Foam Cleaner). After hardening, mechanical removal only.
9. What is the yield of a bomb?
   Between 40 and 45 liters, depending on the temperature, humidity and working technique.
