Flowjoint LF - Low-shrinkage pointing mortar - PTB Compaktuna

Flowjoint LF is a dry powder to which simply add water to obtain a fast-hardening, low-shrinkage jointing mortar .

Features :

• Is used to joint pavers, non-porous clinkers, bluestone and paving where premature loading and commissioning is desired.
• Has good grip on paving stones and high compressive strength.
• Consists of special hydraulic hardeners, quartz sands and high quality additives.
• Can be used for joints from 10 to 30mm.
• Grouting mortar with high mechanical resistance; which can also be applied to surfaces that are not permanently wet.
• Also suitable for repointing sloping paving stones up to an inclination of 10%.
• Suitable for repairs to existing joints.
• May be classified as CG 2 W A.

Manual :

Support:

1. The application will always be done on a clean, stable and sufficiently old medium.
   The surface must be free of oil, grease, dust, etc.
   Any loose parts must be removed.
2. In the case of repairs to paving or old joints, the existing joints and any moss that may be present must be adequately removed.
3. Moisten the surface beforehand with pure water, remove excess water.
   Avoid the formation of puddles.
4. Ensure proper slope and drainage of the paving.
   The elements to be repointed must be well fixed.

Application :

1. FLOWJOINT LF is prepared as a paste with ± 12% to 14% water, i.e. with ± 3 L to 3.5 L of water per 25 kg bag depending on the desired consistency.
   Per 25 kg bag, pour the necessary quantity of water into a tank and add the dry pointing mortar slowly and evenly.
2. Mix everything intensively with a mixer rotating slowly for 5 minutes until you obtain a lump-free, homogeneous and liquid grouting mortar.
3. Before applying FLOWJOINT LF, the mortar is allowed to sit for 1 minute.
4. Only mix as much product as can be applied in 30 minutes.
5. After mixing the FLOWJOINT LF with water, you have up to 30 minutes to apply the product.
6. Pour FLOWJOINT LF over the joints until they are completely filled.
7. You can simply pour the mortar over the joints with a bucket and fill the joint with a rubber squeegee.
   We prevent excess mortar from hardening on the paving by keeping the surface wet.
8. As soon as the mortar in the joints begins to harden (at + 20°C, this is the case after ± 60 minutes), you must rinse the surface thoroughly with pure water while you remove the excess product with a brush, rubber squeegee.
9. Do not leave water on the joint after final cleaning.
   A sponge machine can optionally be used to clean the whole thing with minimal water.
10. Avoid hollow joints that are too deep.
    Clean the tools with water.
11. Use of paving: passage on foot after 24 hours (at + 20°C), traffic (passage by car) after 7 days (at + 20°C).

Consumption :

± 12 kg/m², depending on the depth of the joints and the dimensions of the paving stones.

Usage time:

± 30 to 45 mins.

Mix ratio:

± 3 L to 3.50 L of water per 25 kg bag (± 12 to 14%)

Conditioning :

25 kg: Beige and Grey.
