Epoxy-Joint RG - Epoxy resin - PTB Compaktuna

Epoxy-Joint RG is a two-component epoxy resin for grouting and bonding ceramic tiles , mosaics and acid-resistant tiles.

Features :

• Suitable for horizontal and vertical grouting up to 10mm.
• After curing, EPOXY-JOINT RG has high mechanical strength, good resistance to various chemicals and a closed structure.
• Used for kitchen worktops, bathrooms, exhaust ducts in dairies and breweries, industrial laboratories, etc.

Manual :

1. The minimum application temperature for EPOXY-JOINT RG is +15°C.
   The surface must be free of grease, clean and dry.
2. Wearing rubber gloves is recommended.

The mixture

1. Add the entire contents of the lid compartment to the bucket portion.
   If you wish to prepare a smaller quantity, this must always be carefully weighed in the proportion 3 parts by weight of component A (bucket) to 1 part by weight of component B (lid).
2. The two components must be mixed by hand or mechanically very slowly (minimum 3 min) until a homogeneous color is obtained.

Application (glue)

1. With a notched spatula or trowel, apply the glue in thin layers on the back of the tile to be laid.
2. Distribute the glue evenly using a comb or a serrated spatula.
3. Then we tighten with a slight movement turning the tile on the spot.

Application (grouting product)

1. The EPOXY-JOINT RG is introduced using a rubber spatula into the joints, so that they are completely filled.
   The excess product is scraped off diagonally.
2. The residual layer on the tiles is emulsified, using rotating movements, with a stiff sponge and as little hot water as possible.
3. The emulsion is absorbed with a soft sponge.
4. The sponge is rinsed several times in hot water.
5. Processing time from mixing is ±45 minutes at +20°C.
   This time is considerably shortened in the presence of higher temperatures.
6. Any possible film of product can be removed with a little alcohol after ±5-7 hours.

Depending on the type of comb, width and depth of joints

Usage time:

±45 mins. (+20°C)

Mix ratio:

Mix the 2 components completely (3 parts by weight of the bucket + 1 part by weight of the lid)

Conditioning :

1.5 kg: Off-white, beige, silver gray, dark gray, anthracite.
