Façade water-repellent Sikagard is a water-based hydrophobic impregnation based on a ready-to-use silane/siloxane combination.

Features

Application areas

For waterproofing facades and protecting building materials against water penetration.
Façade water-repellent Sikagard can be applied to mortar, masonry, stone, brick, fiber cement, etc.

Application

1. Clean with an appropriate detergent, steam or light sanding.
   Best results will be obtained on a dry and absorbent support.
2. The surface must be dry on the surface without any damp spots.
3. Sikagard Hydrofuge Façade is applied with a low-pressure gun, brush or roller, working from bottom to top and avoiding drips.
4. The next coat must be applied fresh on fresh, that is to say when the support is still dark after application of the first coat but when it is no longer damp.

Consumption

Depends on the porosity of the support:

On mortar: about 150 to 200 g/m2
On other porous materials: approx. 300 to 500 g/m²

(A test is necessary to determine the exact consumption).
