SikaGard-6470 is a thixotropic protective coating with a long open time, based on elastomer and which has excellent anti-corrosion and soundproofing properties.
It is suitable for effective protection against the impact of gravel on vehicle bodies and has excellent final performance.

Thanks to its application properties, the original appearance can easily be reproduced.
SikaGard-6470 has the best painting performance on the market, especially with water-based paints.
A hard coating forms after drying, protecting the metal from impact and corrosion.

Application areas

• SikaGard-6470 is a spray-on anti-corrosion coating intended for the repair and protection of vulnerable painted vehicle parts such as rocker panels, wheel arches and front and rear aprons.
• It can also be applied as a sound deadener to reduce noise on parts such as wheel arches etc.
• SikaGard-6470 exhibits excellent adhesion to various paints, primed metals, metals and raw PVC.
• This product is exclusively reserved for professionals.
  Tests on real substrates must be carried out to check the adhesion and compatibility of the product.

Application

1. Sikagard-6470 can be applied by means of a compressed air gun or Airless-Spray with a pressure of approximately 3 - 6 bars.
2. Shake the box vigorously before use, approximately 40 times.
3. Cover adjacent surfaces before spraying.
4. Spray Sikagard-6470 at room temperature and from a distance of approximately 25 cm on the surface, working in a cross pattern, in order to obtain an even layer thickness.
5. Sikagard-6470 can be applied without overspray and does not drip.
6. Spray the product until the desired layer thickness is obtained.
   If a high layer thickness is desired, let the individual layers dry each time.
7. Different surface structures can be achieved using various spray techniques.
8. Do not spray on brake parts, engine or exhaust system.
