Acryl - Waterproofing product - Akemi

One-component elasto-plastic sealing product , based on polyacrylate for sealing connection joints which are not subject to too much movement.

Acryl can be used for the connection joints of doors and windows with plaster, wall, concrete, gas-concrete, Placoplâtre, wooden ceilings, stairs, light partitions, in the field of sanitary installations for the joints between wall tiles and ceiling and between tile base and wall, repair of plaster cracks.

Use :

1. Contact surfaces must be solid, free of dust, grease and rust.
   They don't have to be dry, they can be damp, but they don't have to be wet.
2. To avoid adhesion on the three sides and for deeper joints, use AKEMI Joint Beads.
3. Cover the surfaces in the area of the joint edges with AKEMI Special Adhesive Tape.
4. Adheres without primer to many substrates, even absorbent ones.
   For very absorbent substrates, we recommend a primer with diluted acrylic (with water in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:5).
   The primer coat must be dry before grouting.
5. AKEMI Acrylic Sealant snow-white contains water which makes it susceptible to frost until fully cured.
   Do not apply at temperatures below +5°C.
6. Apply AKEMI Snow-White Acrylic Sealant and smooth with water or AKEMI Smoothing Product within 5-10 minutes.
7. Remove the used adhesive tape in the direction of the joint before the formation of the skin.
8. The hardening depends on the layer thickness, the temperature and above all the air humidity (physical drying).
9. At normal temperature (20°C/50° HumRelAir), AKEMI Snow-white Acrylic Sealant forms a solid skin on the surface after about 2 hours; full hardening is achieved after about 1-2 weeks.
10. Clean work tools with water immediately after completion of work.
