Soudatight LQ is a brushable, water-based polymer paste enriched with fibers that, upon drying, forms a seamless, elastic, airtight, and vapor-proof membrane. The product is very easy to apply using a flat brush. It fills cracks up to 5 mm thanks to the fibers and changes color once dry.
EC 1 PLUS label: very low VOC emissions .

Applications:

• For airtightness and vapor barrier of gaps, cracks, breaks, wall-floor joints, wall-ceiling joints, wall-wall joints, and window connections.

Instructions for use:

• First, allow Soudatight LQ to reach room temperature before use.
• Shake well before use. The use of masking tape is recommended.
• However, this must be removed shortly after the application of Soudatight LQ, before it hardens.
• When connecting to the wall, ensure that the airtight sealant forms a seamless membrane of ±15 cm on both surfaces.
• It is possible to remove Soudatight LQ from materials and tools with water before hardening.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can Soudatight LQ be applied to a damp surface?
   It must be applied to a dry, clean, and dust-free surface. Slight residual moisture is acceptable, but the surface must not be wet.
2. What is the drying time?
   Dry to the touch, 1 to 2 hours. Recoatable / fully usable, 8 to 24 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.
3. Can you paint or coat over the membrane?
   Yes, once the membrane is completely dry. It can then be covered with suitable plasters, renders or paints.
4. Is the membrane rainproof?
   Once dry, it is perfectly resistant to moisture. It should not be exposed to rain before it is completely dry.
5. What is the average yield?
   Depending on the substrate and the desired thickness, 0.5 to 1 kg/m².
6. On what types of media can it be used?
   Concrete, brick, blocks, wood, OSB panels, plasterboard, mineral coatings, stone, mortar, etc.
7. Is it compatible with passive house construction?
   Yes, Soudatight LQ meets the strict airtightness requirements of PEB, low energy and passive buildings.
8. Can Soudatight LQ be applied outdoors?
   It is primarily a solution for indoor use.
9. How many layers are needed?
   One thick coat is sufficient in most applications. Two coats may be recommended for complex joints or porous surfaces.
