Soudatight SP is the sprayable version of Soudatight; only the fibers are omitted for obvious reasons. This product allows for the very easy, quick, and economical application of a liquid, airtight, and vapor-tight membrane on larger surfaces and at junctions between these surfaces (floor to wall, wall to ceiling, etc.). It forms an elastic film after drying and provides an ideal base for painting or plastering. It is ideally combined with Soudatight LQ for optimal results. Soudatight SP is applied using an airless spray gun connected to a piston or a membrane pump.

Instructions for use:

• The temperature of the Soudatight SP should be close to room temperature.
• Shake well before use. The use of masking tape is recommended. However, it must be removed shortly after applying Soudatight SP, before it hardens. When connecting to a wall, ensure that the airtight sealant forms a seamless membrane of approximately 15 cm on both surfaces.
• It is possible to remove Soudatight SP from materials and tools with water before hardening.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can the Soudatight SP replace a conventional vapor barrier membrane?
   Yes, once applied in a continuous layer, it creates a high-performance vapor barrier, comparable to roll membranes, while avoiding the problems of cutting and joining.
2. Can it be used outdoors?
   Yes, Soudatight SP is designed for air and vapor sealing indoors AND outdoors, as long as the product is protected once dry (cladding, insulation, plaster…).
3. On what devices can I use it?
   It adheres to concrete, bricks and calcium silicate blocks, plaster, cement, timber framing, panels, wood derivatives, metal, and plasterboard. A primer may be necessary depending on the porosity and condition of the substrate.
4. Should multiple coats be applied?
   Generally yes, two coats ensure perfect continuity and sufficient thickness. The waiting time between coats is 1 to 2 hours depending on conditions.
5. Is the product compatible with insulation?
   Yes, absolutely. Once dry, it can receive insulation in the form of PUR/PIR mineral wool panels, cladding, finishing panels, plasters or suitable adhesives.
6. Is it water-resistant?
   Yes, but only after it has completely dried. Before drying, it must be protected from rain or humidity.
7. Can it be applied by spraying?
   Yes, with an airless sprayer. This allows for faster and more even application, ideal for large areas.
8. Is it odorless?
   The product has a very low odor, is solvent-free, and is EC1 PLUS certified, making it suitable for sensitive environments.
9. What is the actual return?
   On average, 0.4 to 1 kg/m², depending on the substrate's absorption and the desired thickness. A preliminary test is recommended.
10. How do I clean the tools?
    Rinse with water immediately after application. Once dry, the product is difficult to remove.
