Metal DR 150 - Cement and rust remover - Zep Industries

Strips cement, removes rust, degreases and phosphates in a single operation and contains selected acids which do not alter anodized aluminum profiles when diluted for use.
Does not emit harmful or corrosive vapors .
Prepares metal surfaces for painting.

Applications:

METAL DR 150 is used for stripping, derusting and phosphating metal formwork, construction equipment, props, metal scaffolding, small masonry equipment (clamps, trowels, shovels, smoothers, straightedges, etc.) , automobile bodywork, rust-covered sheets and profiles, vehicle chassis. Cleaning of copper equipment (stills, etc.).
Sprayed, for phosphating concrete reinforcing bars for formwork.

Manual :

Spraying on ferrous metals:

1. Dilute in 1 to 2 volumes of water, spray on the support to be stripped.
2. Wait 10 to 15 minutes, rinse with clean water under pressure.
3. Repeat until completely stripped.
4. To have good phosphating after stripping, do not rinse but spray again with pure METAL DR 150.
5. Leave to dry for at least 48 hours before painting.

Spraying on light alloys:

1. Dilute in 2 or 3 volumes of water, spray on the support to be degreased, wait 5 minutes.
2. Rinse with clean water under pressure.

In bath for ferrous metals:

1. Always use pure.
2. Immerse the parts to be stripped for 5 to 10 hours depending on the contamination.
3. Take out the parts.
4. For good phosphating, do not rinse.
5. Leave to dry for at least 48 hours before painting.
6. In a bath, a significant addition of cement can hinder good phosphating.
