Soudaclear Façade W is an aqueous solution of silanes and siloxanes that can be hydrolyzed. Hydrolysis takes place after the application of the product to the substrate, which breaks the emulsion. The alcohol is then released and the emulsion is transformed into a hydrophobic silicone resin. The only disadvantage of Soudaclear Façade W is that it does not immediately produce the desired hydrophobic effect, due to the presence of emulsifiers. Nevertheless, as soon as these are broken and removed from the façade, the hydrophobic properties become optimal. This process can take 3 to 4 weeks.

Applications:

Soudaclear Façade W is a ready-to-use colourless fluid based on siloxanes and silanes, specially formulated for the hydrophobic treatment of exterior walls. The fluid penetrates into mineral, porous building materials such as brick masonry, or concrete blocks, natural silico-limestone bricks, mineral coatings and cellular concrete. The product reacts chemically with the moisture present in the substrate and forms, after physical drying, a hydrophobic protection resistant to UV and weather without altering the permeability to steam. Soudaclear Façade W significantly decreases the absorption of water and harmful substances dissolved in it.
