Soudal Mega polyurethane (PU) foam is an extremely versatile foam, which is particularly suitable for the quick and solid assembly of window frames and door frames.
These are not likely to come apart, given that the Mega foam does not expand further during hardening.
In addition, it is perfectly suited as insulating foam for all kinds of openings and holes thanks to 66% more efficiency than ordinary PU foam.

Applications:

• Assembly and fixing of window frames and door frames.
• Bonding of insulating panels.
• Also perfectly suited for bonding (for example, fixing insulating panels to walls, ceilings or floors, bonding cellular concrete).

Instructions for use:

1. Always wear safety glasses and gloves.
2. The surface must be clean and free of grease.
3. Ensure good ventilation and keep away from sources of ignition.
4. Humidifying the surface promotes adhesion and accelerates hardening.
5. Fill the seal only to about 70%.
   For large cavities, apply in several layers and moisten between layers.
6. In case of soiling, immediately remove the foam using Soudal PU Foam Cleaner.
7. Remove the hardened foam mechanically or using Soudal PU Foam Remover.
8. Film forms after 10 min, can be cut after 30 min, can be placed under pressure after 6 hours.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can the foam be reused after opening?
   Yes, the Soudal Genius Gun system allows reuse for up to 6 weeks after opening, provided the aerosol is kept upright and in a clean, dry place.
2. Can the foam be used outdoors?
   Yes, it is weather-resistant once fully cured. However, it is recommended to protect it from UV rays with paint or a coating.
3. What materials does it adhere to?
   Soudal PU foam adheres to most building materials, including concrete, bricks, wood blocks and PVC metal derivatives, and natural stone composites. It does not adhere to PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon), or heavily oiled surfaces.
4. Can it be used for structural fixing?
   No, PU foam is an aid to stabilization but never replaces mechanical fixing (screws, plugs, anchors…).
5. How long does it take for it to dry completely?
   The foam forms a film after 8 to 10 minutes and hardens completely in a few hours, depending on the temperature and humidity.
6. Can it be painted?
   Yes, after complete hardening and cutting off the excess, the foam can be sanded, coated or painted.
7. Is it compatible with thermal insulation?
   Yes, it has excellent insulating performance, allowing for the reduction of thermal bridges around windows, doors and technical passages.
8. How to clean fresh moss stains
   Use a compatible PU cleaner (Soudal Cleaner). Once hardened, the foam can only be removed mechanically.
