Flexifoam X-tra is a new, even more efficient flexible PU foam that adapts to joint movement (compression and decompression). This innovative and durable foam, with its excellent insulating properties, ensures long-term airtightness and contributes to the energy efficiency of the building envelope. Flexifoam X-tra boasts a high X-tra efficiency of up to +30% and a B1 fire rating. It is specifically developed for window applications and features the patented Click & Fix system for quick and optimal application.

Applications:

• Shake the can for at least 20 seconds.
• Click and attach the gun to the adapter.
• The surface must be free of grease and dust.
• Before application, lightly dampen the surface with a jet of water.
• A preliminary adhesion test is recommended for unconventional substrates.
• Fill joints and cavities to 80%, as the foam will expand.
• Shake the container regularly during application.
• If you need to work in layers, repeat the wetting process after each layer. Fresh foam can be removed with Soudal Click & Clean or acetone.

1. What is the difference between Flexifoam X-tra and a classic PU foam?
   Flexifoam X-tra is elastic and can absorb frame movements. Conventional PU foam is rigid and prone to cracking around window and door frames.
2. Is the Click & Fix system compatible with all guns?
   It is compatible with all SoudaFoam / Click & Fix guns. Standard guns require a screw-on version, not a Click & Fix one.
3. Can this foam be used outdoors?
   Yes, once hardened, it is resistant to humidity, aging, and extreme temperatures. However, it must always be protected from UV rays (coating, silicone, finishing strip, etc.).
4. Can the foam be painted after it has hardened?
   Yes, the foam can be painted, coated or covered after cutting.
5. What materials does the foam adhere to?
   It adheres to concrete, brick, stone, wood, PVC derivative panels, aluminum, steel, plaster, plasterboard. Problematic only on PE, PP, PTFE and very dusty or greasy surfaces.
6. What is the yield of an aerosol?
   Depending on the temperature and the support, on average 25 to 30 litres of hardened foam are obtained.
7. Should the surfaces be moistened?
   Yes, slight humidification improves the expansion and polymerization of the foam.
8. Is the foam suitable for acoustic joints?
   Yes, thanks to its density and structure, Flexifoam X-tra offers very good sound insulation.
9. Can it be used as a fixing foam for doors?
   Yes, Flexifoam X-tra is perfectly suited for fitting doors and windows, as its elasticity absorbs deformations without deforming the frame.
10. How long does the foam retain its properties?
    It exhibits excellent stability over time, resisting aging, humidity and thermal variations, if properly protected from UV.
