Depending on the state of the support:
New or stripped wood, on prepared support:
- Apply 1 or 2 even, full coats of Acryl Parket Oil depending on traffic and desired look.
- Allow 4 hours to dry between coats depending on the species and ambient conditions.
- Depending on the desired result and if necessary, carry out a light sanding (grain 220 to 240) between the layers to break up the small roughness of the wood.
- Dust thoroughly.
- Do not exceed 24 hours between the application of the different layers.
- For a “waxed oil” finish, apply a 3rd pass.
No manual or single-brush polishing is necessary, even to obtain a perfect finish.
Old vitrifier, old oil or wax:
- Restore the support by sanding according to the rules of the art or stripping (contact us) then apply Acryl Parket Oil according to the procedure above.
- Always dust very thoroughly after sanding or sanding.
- Acryl Parket Oil is applied to new surfaces or exposed by stripping or sanding.
- Cover necessarily with a second pure layer without ever spreading between the layers in this case.
NB: Acryl Parket Oil can, in the first coat only, be tinted with a universal dye (max. 3%).
