Recommendations for use & maintenance:
Fixing/mounting: screw onto a handle with compatible thread (standard Vikan type).
Cleaning after use: rinse thoroughly with water and then, if necessary, put in the dishwasher up to 93°C or sterilize up to 121°C depending on the degree of contamination.
Precautions: do not exceed the maximum temperatures indicated according to the type of use (food vs. non-food).
Replacement: monitor fiber wear (wear, fraying); as soon as cleaning becomes less effective, consider replacement.

Is this brush suitable for food products? Yes, the Vikan 5380-77 brush is made from materials that comply with EU regulations for food contact plastics (EU 10/2011) and are FDA approved (CFR 21).
What is the difference between “medium” and “hard” fibers? Medium fibers are a good compromise: they are firm enough to lift dirt but less aggressive than “hard” fibers, which reduces the risk of scratches on sensitive surfaces.
Can it be used in an autoclave / sterilized at high temperature? Yes, it supports sterilization up to 121°C. However, the thermal limits for use in the cycles must be respected (see technical data sheet).
Is it compatible with all Vikan handles? Yes, this brush is designed to fit all handles in the Vikan range.
What are the temperature and pH limits to be respected? Usable pH range: 2 to 10.5. Maximum temperature for food contact: 80°C. Maximum temperature for non-food use: 100°C. Maximum temperature for cleaning (autoclave): 121°C. Maximum dishwasher temperature: 93°C.
What colors is it available in? You can choose between Green, Blue, Red, White, Yellow, Black - this coding makes it easy to distinguish brushes by area or use.
How do I know when to replace it? If the fibers are worn, deformed, or offer reduced cleaning performance, it's time to replace them. Also, check that the attachment remains secure and corrosion-free.
Could this brush scratch surfaces? In normal use, no, as the medium fibers are designed to be effective without being harsh. However, if the brush is worn or used on very delicate surfaces, caution is recommended.
