Neutral alkoxy silicone sealant. For glazing joints in conservatory construction or mirror work. Excellent compatibility with PVC and polycarbonate. Slow curing.
EC 1 PLUS label: very low VOC emissions .

Condition : non-deformable, clean, dry, dust-free and grease-free.

Pretreatment : Silirub PC has good adhesion to most substrates.

However, for optimal adhesion and in critical applications, such as joints exposed to extreme weather conditions, heavily loaded joints, or joints saturated with water, a pretreatment procedure is recommended. Prepare non-porous surfaces with a Soudal activator or cleaner (see technical data sheet). Apply Primer 150 to porous substrates.
There is no adhesion to PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®) and bituminous surfaces. It is advisable to perform a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test on all substrates.

1. Does Silirub PC yellow over time?
   No, its UV-resistant formulation guarantees excellent durability, even outdoors.
2. Can it be used in a bathroom or kitchen?
   Yes, it is suitable for use in damp rooms. However, for areas frequently exposed to standing water, a fungicidal sanitary silicone may be preferable.
3. Does Silirub PC adhere to PVC or aluminum?
   Yes, its adhesion is excellent on most PVC or aluminum joinery without primer.
4. Is it compatible with natural stone?
   It is generally compatible, but prior testing is recommended to avoid any risk of staining.
5. Can the Silirub PC be painted?
   No, like most silicones, it cannot be painted over.
6. What is its drying time?
   It forms a skin in 10 to 20 minutes. Complete hardening occurs at a rate of approximately 2 mm per 24 hours.
7. Can it be used in cold weather?
   Yes, but the polymerization rate will be slower. It is advisable to apply above 5°C.
8. Is the sealant suitable for long-term outdoor use?
   Yes, it has high resistance to weathering, UV rays and temperature variations.
9. Is the Silirub PC safe for low-energy buildings?
   Yes, its EC1 PLUS certification guarantees very low emissions, ideal for healthy buildings.
