Silirub Color is a high-quality , neutral, elastic, one-component silicone-based sealant.

It allows you to make all common construction joints , whether for glazing , connecting joints, expansion joints, sealing for PVC , wood, etc.

Note : Not suitable for natural stone such as marble, granite, etc., as it may cause stains. Silirub+ S8800 is recommended for natural stone!

Instructions for use:

1. Application method:
   • Apply the product using a manual, pneumatic, or battery-powered cartridge gun.
2. Cleaning method:
   • Clean with Soudal Surface Cleaner or Soudal Swipex immediately after use. Hardened residues can be removed mechanically.
3. Finishing method:
   • With Smoothing Product before film coating.
4. Repair method:
   1. Repair possible: with the same material.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does Silirub Colour correspond exactly to RAL colours?
   Yes, it is formulated to match standard RAL colors. Depending on the substrate and lighting, slight variations may occur.
2. Can it be used outdoors?
   Yes, it is completely resistant to UV rays, weathering and temperature variations.
3. Can it replace sanitary silicone?
   It can be used in a bathroom or kitchen, but it is not a fungicidal silicone. For areas highly exposed to standing moisture, use Silirub Sanitary instead.
4. Does it adhere to PVC?
   Yes, Silirub Color has excellent adhesion to rigid PVC, often without a primer.
5. Is it mirror compatible?
   Yes, it is formulated without corrosive solvents, compatible with sensitive mirrors.
6. Can it be painted over? No, like all silicones, Silirub Color cannot be painted over. The correct RAL color must be chosen before application.
7. Can it be used for gluing?
   It is primarily a sealant, but its neutral technology gives it sufficient adhesion for small bonding applications.
8. How long does the color last?
   Very stable thanks to its UV resistance, the color remains bright and uniform for several years, even when exposed outdoors.
9. What tools are needed?
   Manual or pneumatic gun, cutter, masking tape, smoothing agent and cloth.
10. What is the yield of a cartridge?
    A 300 ml cartridge allows approximately: 8–12 meters of joint (section 5×5 mm).
