ProtectGuard EM Premium - Intense wet look water repellent - Guard Industrie

ProtectGuard EM Premium protects all porous building materials by giving treated substrates a “wet look” finish that enhances the original color.

It prevents water penetration, stains and all types of dirt from penetrating a treated mineral surface.
A surface treated with ProtectGuard EM Premium will be easier to maintain.

Use

• Porous and low-porous materials: natural stones (travertine, Bavarian stone, blue stone, marble, etc.) or reconstituted stones, concrete, terracotta, etc.

• Recommended for terraces, driveways, pedestrian areas, swimming pool decks, facades, stairs, etc.

Implementation

Preparation of the support

1. Apply the product to a clean, dust-free, degreased and dry surface (moisture content less than 5% by mass).
2. Rinse thoroughly until the surface is free of all traces of the cleaner and allow to dry for 24/48 hours.

Application

1. Shake the packaging well before use and use the product pure: do not dilute or mix with another product.
2. Carry out a preliminary test on a small surface before treating the entire surface in order to validate the effect.
   Apply in a thin layer, taking care to draw out the product (it is not necessary to soak the application tool too much, take very little product).
3. Do not overload the support, all the product must penetrate the surface.
4. After 3 to 5 minutes, carefully wipe and polish the treated material with an absorbent, lint-free cloth.
   Change cloth regularly to wipe the product thoroughly. The surface should become matte again.
5. On large surfaces, work in zones to avoid stepping on the product when wiping.
6. On certain materials and depending on their heterogeneities, it may be necessary to apply an additional coat the next day or after drying to homogenize the wet effect.
7. Protection of treated surfaces from rain and pedestrian traffic: 24 hours.
8. Optimal effectiveness of protection obtained after 3 days.

Application tool

Application: short nap roller, brush for acrylic varnish.
For smooth surfaces, you can also use a microfiber flat broom.

Wiping: microfiber cloth or lint-free absorbent.

Consumption

Consumption depends on the porosity of the material.
The values below are given for information purposes only:

• Porous materials: 10 to 20 m2 / kg.
• Low porous materials: 20 to 35 m2 / kg

Conditioning

2 kg and 5 kg canister.
