Applications:

Apply HMK® S244 evenly and thoroughly using a soft brush or foam roller to a dry, naturally cool surface. On particularly absorbent surfaces, reapply after 24 hours. Any excess HMK® S244 should be carefully wiped off with a paper towel before it dries. Insufficient wiping may result in streaks or mottling.

Features :

HMK® S244 reduces the penetration of water, dirt, oils, and grease. This significantly reduces stain formation and makes cleaning and maintenance easier. Its color-enhancing properties optimally reveal the color and veining of the material. The effectiveness against water, oils, and grease depends on the substrate's absorbency. The deeper HMK® S244 penetrates the stone, the better the stain-resistant and color-enhancing effects. On acid-sensitive surfaces such as polished marble and limestone, dull marks may appear from wine, orange juice, or cola; however, these marks will be much less noticeable than on an untreated surface and easier to clean. HMK® S244 does not yellow. Gas exchange within the stone is only slightly affected. The residual film after drying is safe for health and food (laboratory tested).

Depending on the substrate and surface condition, approximately 5 to 20 m²/litre.

1. Does the HMK S244 change the visual appearance?
   Yes, it intensifies the color and can give a more or less pronounced wet effect depending on the material. The overall look, however, remains natural.
2. Can it be used on bluestone (Belgium)?
   Yes, on bluestone, the S244 gives a deeper, intensified effect while protecting against stains.
3. How long does the protection last?
   Generally 2 to 5 years, depending on usage, exposure to weather and type of support.
4. Should multiple coats be applied?
   Often one coat is sufficient. On very porous materials, a second coat may be necessary.
5. Can it be used on an outdoor terrace?
   Yes, the product is resistant to UV, frost and weathering, ideal for terraces, borders, slabs and paving.
6. Does the product make the surface slippery?
   No, it does not form a film and does not alter the structure of the surface. It does not increase slipperiness.
7. Can it be applied after high-pressure cleaning?
   Yes, provided that the surface is allowed to dry for a minimum of 24–48 hours.
8. Is the HMK S244 suitable for worktops?
   Yes, as long as the surface is porous and mineral. It effectively protects against oils, greases, and household liquids.
9. Is it compatible with underfloor heating?
   Yes, it is heat resistant and does not form any blocking film.
10. Does the product yellow over time?
    No, its formula does not yellow and is perfectly resistant to UV rays.
