Refractory bricks

A refractory brick is a brick that retains its mechanical properties at very high temperatures.

Refractory products are, by nature, temperatures high and are used for production and repair of furnaces, blast furnaces, of metallurgical pockets of boilers, boiler rooms, candle burners, homes, open fires, and led to peripheral walls of facilities requiring heat preservation and resistance to temperatures high, possibly adjacent siding or not. Refractory bricks are of different qualities that meet the needs of industries, cement, ceramic, steel, metallurgical, construction in humbug, etc.

Refractory briquettes are made by supercharging dry on hydraulic press with a mixture of local clays and spare. They are being a paperclay in a tunnel with baking oven to direct flame at a minimum temperature of 1200 ° C and are not glazed.

• Old yellow - LY28/32: 28-32%
• Old yellow - LY39/42: 39-42%

* LYGO format:

LYGO is a new format of bricks for applications in habitat.

It is a derivative of the standard rectangular format "22 x 11 x 6 cm" whereby 2 interlocking male/female square have been added. These interlocking design allows to use built in stretcher (including the corners at right angles) or alternating loads in setts and stretcher.

The interlocking interest is twofold: it allows one hand to dispense with grout when the airtightness of joints is not necessary and on the other hand, to increase the shear strength of masonry.

Among the main potential applications, we can remember:

• Barbecues: without using mortar, we can have removable barbecues and adapt them according to circumstances.
• Stoves mass and fire open: LYGO format allows to strengthen the structure of masonry.
