A pipe wrap consists of a reactive graphite-based intumescent tape, which reacts to heat and closes the opening.
A pipe wrap offers a fire rating up to EI 240.

Features :

• A flame retardant strip consists of a graphite-based fire-resistant material in a plastic bag.
• The tape is wrapped around the pipe and attached with an adhesive surface.
• The wrap should be sealed around the pipe with fireproof acrylic or fireproof plaster.
• The installation area of the pipe tape is leveled with an adequate gypsum paste.
• Graphite-based intumescent tape reacts to heat and closes the opening left by the softening of the plastic pipe or its insulation in a fire.

Applications:

• A Soudawrap P FR flame retardant wrap offers a simple and inexpensive alternative to a flame retardant collar for plastic cables and pipes in walls and floors.

Applications:

1. Check that the surfaces are free of dust, grease and dirt.
2. The surface can be moistened to improve adhesion. Install the correct amount of tape around the pipe, as tight as possible, and secure it with tape.
3. If the pipe is insulated, install the jacket over the insulation.
4. For wall installations, a strip of pipe is installed on both sides of the structure; it is placed above the structure in the case of floor installation.
