Application areas
Sika Backer Rod Fire is a compressible joint bottom based on mineral wool wrapped in a fiberglass sheath, intended for fireproof jointing in the walls and floors of buildings.
Application
- Insert the Sika Backer Rod Fire backer rod into the joint using a blunt tool.
- Ensure full contact between 2 pieces of Sika Backer Rod Fire as well as in the corners to obtain maximum fire resistance.
- After the correct positioning of the Sika Backer Rod Fire joint filler, the joint must be filled using the SikaHyflex-250 Facade sealant.

- Roll length 25 m, 30 m and 50 m
- Green-yellow backer rod with round diameter on rolls:
