      Sika Backer Rod Fire is a compressible joint bottom based on mineral wool wrapped in a fiberglass sheath, intended for fireproof jointing in the walls and floors of buildings.

      • Tested according to EN 1366-4 in combination with SikaHyflex-250 Facade.

      Application areas

      Sika Backer Rod Fire is a compressible joint bottom based on mineral wool wrapped in a fiberglass sheath, intended for fireproof jointing in the walls and floors of buildings.

      Application

      1. Insert the Sika Backer Rod Fire backer rod into the joint using a blunt tool.
      2. Ensure full contact between 2 pieces of Sika Backer Rod Fire as well as in the corners to obtain maximum fire resistance.
      3. After the correct positioning of the Sika Backer Rod Fire joint filler, the joint must be filled using the SikaHyflex-250 Facade sealant.

      Conditioning

      • Roll length 25 m, 30 m and 50 m
      • Green-yellow backer rod with round diameter on rolls:
        Ø 12mm

        Ø 30mm
        Ø 40mm
        Ø 50mm
        Ø 60mm
