Elixane - Special weathering paint - Owatrol

Type D2 facade restoration paint with excellent hiding power, based on siloxane resins in aqueous dispersion for the protection and decoration of new facades or facades to be maintained/renovated.

Properties :

• Very good opacifying and filling power that hides imperfections.
• Excellent behavior in the face of bad weather and dirt.
• Slows down the development of microorganisms.
• Microporous, Elixane lets the surface breathe.
• Water vapor permeable.
• The durability of the film is reinforced and prevents blistering and peeling.
• Great ease and comfort of application: without rework, quick drying (safety of the site in the event of untimely rain).
• Can be tinted with UV-resistant dyes and guaranteed to have good outdoor performance.
• Insensitive to alkaline funds.
• Excellent adhesion on slightly chalky or slightly degraded bases.
• Adheres to all mineral supports, even very slightly damp (light morning dew).
• The yield can vary according to several parameters: the state and the porosity of the support, the temperature and the relative hygrometry.
  From 6-8 m2 /L per coat

Application :

1. Raw bottoms (without paint), porous, chalky, doubtful:
   
   • Fix and restructure the bottom. Apply a layer of Elixfond.
     Leave to dry for 4 hours.
   • Finish: Apply 2 coats of Elixane (150 to 200 wet microns per coat).
2. Mechanically solid, adherent and dust-free raw funds:
   
   • 2 coats of Elixane may be sufficient.
3. Previously painted surfaces in good condition and free of microorganisms. Excluding CSR and RPE:
   • Clean at high pressure or use Elixclean if heavily soiled.
     Rinse well and let dry for at least 24 hours.
   • Finish: Apply 2 coats of Elixane (150 to 200 wet microns per coat).

destination:

• Outdoor use: can be applied on usual supports of smooth to weakly structured masonry, new or old absorbent: bricks, cement, stone, breeze blocks, plaster, shuttered or precast concrete, coatings based on traditional hydraulic binders (in accordance with standard NF P 15-201 of DTU 26.1) and on old acrylic paints or matte pliolites (in good condition and not chalking).
  Not recommended on waterproof coatings, RSE, RPE and ITE.
• Indoor use: damp rooms such as cellars, basements, underground garages.
• On new or renovated substrates.
  Can also be applied to window sills, bases and low walls.
• Can be applied on metal and wood after suitable printing.
