Parafoam NBS Grey - Gun-grade polyurethane foam - DL Chemicals

Professional sprayable polyurethane foam. Seals, insulates, and fills joints. Ideal for sealing between concrete structures. The foam has a discreet appearance due to its gray color.

  • Single-component polyurethane foam
  • It does not react with the components of drying concrete (other types of silicone can cause the edges of the joint to crumble after the concrete dries). The cured silicone can be easily removed from the concrete.
  • Very good water resistance
  • A grey concrete color
  • Post-expansion weak
  • Good thermal and acoustic insulation
  • Hardened foam can be cut, sawn, coated and painted and is moisture resistant
  • Highly precise dosing with the NBS gun
  • Excellent adhesion to most common building materials such as wood, concrete, brick, plaster, metal, polystyrene (EPS and XPS), polyurethane...

Applications:

  • Sealing, insulating and filling joints: walls-ceilings, roof openings, door and window frames, between prefabricated elements, roof windows, chimneys, around pipes and ducts...
  • Sealing of cavities in sanitary, heating and electrical wiring installations
  • Installation and insulation of bathtubs, shower trays, refrigeration appliances, water heaters,...

Instructions for use:

  1. Preparation :
    • Wear gloves and safety glasses.
    • Do not apply in confined spaces. It is important to ventilate the areas well during application and curing.
    • Warm cold bombs with lukewarm water. Bombs cannot be heated above 30°C. Bombs that are too hot must be cooled with water. Shake the bomb to reach the required temperature more quickly.
    • The surfaces must be free of dust and grease. Always pre-moisten the surfaces, as the foam expands due to moisture.
    • Shake the aerosol can vigorously at least 20 times.
    • Hold the aerosol can upright while screwing on the NBS gun. Move the gun to the aerosol can, holding the handle with one hand and screwing the can on with the other. Do not tilt the can while screwing.
  2. Laid :
    • Hold the can upside down when extruding the foam. Adjust the flow rate by operating the adjustment screw and the trigger or with the adapter.
    • Fill joints and cavities to 60-70%.
    • For wider joints, apply in several coats and moisten between coats.
    • After use, return the can to a vertical position using the gun or adapter.
  3. Cleaning:
    • Cleaning of fresh foam with PU Foam & Gun Cleaner . Cleaning of hardened foam with Parafoam Remover.

Packaging:

  • 750 ml spray can

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Is Parafoam NBS Grey suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, it can be used outdoors, provided it is protected from UV rays after hardening (plaster, paint, joint cover, etc.).
  2. Can it be used for installing windows and doors?
Yes, that's one of its main uses. Its controlled expansion limits the risk of chassis deformation.
  3. What types of media does it support?
It adheres very well to concrete, brick, stone, wood, metal and most plastics. It does not adhere to polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and PTFE.
  4. Can it be recoated after drying?
Yes. Once hardened, the foam can be cut, sanded, painted or coated.
  5. Should the surface be moistened before application?
Yes, slightly moistening the substrate improves the expansion and polymerization of the foam.
  6. What is the difference between a sprayable foam and a foam with a classic nozzle?
The gun-type version offers better precision, more consistent dosing, less waste and superior working comfort, especially for professional use.
  7. How long should you wait before cutting the moss?
The foam can usually be cut after 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature and humidity.
